- Many people have no way to get in touch with the police quitly. If someone broke in your house you should hide and definitly be quiet. The top four carriers in the U.S offfered to try it out. Now alll you have to do is send a text with your name, situation and address.

- Take a position on the issue in the article. I feel this new communication with the police could save a life. It affects me because it might save my life if I'm in a dangerous situation where I have to be quiet. With a smartphone it might even make it simpler to include your location with the text.
- This impacts the world in a very unqiue way. People have decided that police communication should be in line with the centurys technology. A negative would be that it could be taken as a joke. Goofing around with it could possibly put you in more danger. Teenagers are some of the fastest texters in todays times making this a better solution. It just seems crazy to me that we have advanced so much to where we will soon be able to communcate in ways never imagined.
